Cindy Brainerd, TCRG is an instructor for the Fort Walton Beach branch. Cindy has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida and she holds additional certification in Math for middle grades. She received her TCRG in October of 2008. She has a passion and talent for performance choreography, but also enjoys the intensity of the competitive aspect of Irish Dance.

 

Cindy began taking Irish dance lessons as an adult in 1998. She competed in several competitions, but retired quickly in order to obtain her TCRG certification. In 2004, Cindy became an instructor for the Drake School of Irish Dance and directed the Fort Walton Beach location.

 

Cindy performed in several St. Patrick’s Day shows over the years, but her true passion lies in performance choreography. Cindy developed an original St. Patrick’s Day production that has been performed in venues all over the Florida Panhandle since 2006.

 

Cindy, in conjunction with Ashley Breihan, TCRG, coached the Figure Choreography team “Going Global” to win the 2017 Southern Region Oireachtas.        

Cindy is dedicated to providing dancers of the Carpenter Academy the opportunity to compete, perform, and appreciate the art of Irish dance.
