Classes

All dancers are evaluated by our certified staff to determine class placement. Instructors will place students in the class that best suits their needs. Please note that competition level does not always dictate class placement.

Classes

Beginner Class

The Beginner class is designed to introduce new students to the basics of Irish dance. Dancers will learn the fundamental movements and motions of traditional Irish dance. This class is suited for students ages 5 and up. Beginner Hard Shoe will be available by invite for beginner dancers to learn the basics of hard shoe.

Beginner Soft Shoe

Thursdays - 5:00pm to 5:45pm

Beginner Hard Shoe

Mondays - 5:30pm to 6:00pm

Advanced Beginner Class

The Advanced Beginner Class is open to students at the Advanced Beginner level. Dancers will work on learning new dances and more advanced material in both soft and hard shoe. Dancers will also be introduced to the basics of céilí (team) dancing to help prepare them for the next level of class.

Advanced Beginner Soft Shoe

Thursdays - 5:45pm to 6:45pm

Advanced Beginner Hard Shoe

Mondays - 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Intermediate Class

The Intermediate Class is open to students at the Novice level. Dancers will work on more challenging material in both soft and hard shoe dances while perfecting their technique. In addition to solo material, dancers will also learn traditional céilí dancing in their weekly classes to foster teamwork, group unity, and precision while working together to achieve a common goal.

Mondays - 6:00pm to 7:45pm

Thursdays - 6:45pm to 8:15pm

Advanced Class

The Advanced Class is open to competitive dancers at the Prizewinner, Preliminary and Open Championship level. Students will receive more in-depth and vigorous training with an emphasis on technique, style, and fitness. All Advanced Classes aim to prepare dancers for local, national, and world championship competitions throughout the year. In addition to solo material, dancers will also learn traditional céilí dancing in their weekly classes to foster teamwork, group unity, and precision while working together to achieve a common goal.

Thursdays - 6:45pm to 8:45pm

Oonagh Lynch Benson, TCRG, enjoys sharing her Irish heritage with her dancers through her lifelong love of Irish dance. She encourages all students to perform and compete their best while emphasizing fun, friendship, and teamwork.
