Classes

All dancers are evaluated by our certified staff to determine class placement. Instructors will place students in the class that best suits their needs. Please note that competition level does not always dictate class placement.

Classes

Beginner Class

The Beginner classes are designed to introduce new students to the unique style of Irish Dance. Students will learn basic skills and step work in a fun and focused environment. Open to students ages 5 & up.

Beginner 1 Soft Shoe

Wednesdays - 5:00pm to 5:45pm

Wednesdays - 4:15pm to 5:00pm

Beginner 2 Soft Shoe

Mondays - 4:45pm to 5:45pm

Beginner 3 Soft Shoe

Mondays - 5:45pm to 6:45pm

Beginner Hard Shoe

Thursdays - 4:45pm to 5:45pm

Advanced Beginner Class

The Advanced Beginner class is open to dancers who have mastered their Beginner material. These dancers will continue to build on their soft shoe skills and learn more challenging step work. 

Advanced Beginner Soft Shoe

Tuesdays - 4:45pm to 5:45pm

Advanced Beginner Hard Shoe

Thursdays - 4:45pm to 5:45pm

Intermediate Class

The Intermediate classes are geared toward Novice and Prizewinner level dancers. Dancers will continue to learn more advanced dances and skills while perfecting their technique. 

Intermediate Soft Shoe

Tuesdays - 5:45pm to 7:15pm

Intermediate Hard Shoe

Thursdays - 5:45pm to 7:15pm

Advanced Class

Open to dancers at the Prizewinner, Preliminary, and Open Championship levels. Dancers will be challenged with more advanced material and rigorous training in order to meet their competitive goals. All advanced classes aim to prepare dancers for regular feiseanna as well as major championships such as the Oireachtas, Nationals, and Worlds.

Mondays - 6:45pm to 8:45pm

Tuesdays - 6:45pm to 8:45pm

Thursdays - 6:45pm to 8:45pm

With over 20 years of experience in education and Irish dance instruction, Cindy Brainerd, TCRG, creates a unique learning environment by fostering a sense of community amongst dancers and their families.

TCRG, FWB Director

Ashley Breihan, TCRG, has over 20 years of dance and competition experience. She aims to share her passion for the sport by encouraging dancers to set and reach their competitive goals through her dedication to Irish dance instruction.

Laura Kerr, TCRG, has years of experience competing and performing in venues across the United States and Europe. Her dedication to Irish dance and her unique professional show experience are an asset to the Carpenter Academy.
