Laura Kerr, TCRG

Laura Kerr, TCRG began Scottish dancing at age 4 before discovering and falling in love with Irish dancing. Her dedication to Irish dancing brought her to travel two hours away from her hometown to attend weekly classes with the Drake School of Irish Dance and she later moved to Scotland to train with the Haughey McAuley Academy. Throughout her competitive career she earned national titles in ceili dancing, top five placements at the regional level, and high placements at the national and international levels.

 

At the age of 19, Laura began her career as a professional dancer and toured with multiple dance productions including Rhythm of the Dance, Spirit of Ireland, Magic of the Dance,and  Avalon Celtic Dances, in notable locations such as Berlin, Paris, Morocco, and London.

 

After seven years of touring, Laura decided to retire from professional show dancing and return to her hometown, Panama City, Florida. She received her TCRG in 2017 and opened up a dance studio to pass along her knowledge of Irish dancing. In 2022, Laura moved to Fort Walton Beach to pursue opportunities related to her full-time job as a paramedic and joined the staff at the Carpenter Academy Fort Walton Beach.
